*: About Mike King
*: Mike King is CIO of Horizon Consumer Science, an International market research companies with offices in Melbourne, Los Angeles and London.
* Brian May has confirmed that he can speak on "A Linux Photo Database Application".
*: Brian's abstract is as follows:
*: "Digital cameras allow the ability to take hundreds, if not thousands of photos, quickly and easily. However, what do you do with the photos afterwards? If most of your photos are duds, then the solution is easy - just delete them. What if many of them are good quality? How do you store them in such a way you will be able to relocate that photo if you need it? How do you do it without wasting hours tagging hundreds of photos? The talk discusses open source software I have written to try and address these issues, and some of the challenges I have encountered on the way."
*: Brian May, Microcom Australia.
